Liverpool supporters have received encouraging news about the injury status of long-term absentee Conor Bradley.
Bradley suffered a knee injury in January after an awkward twist of the joint during a 0-0 draw with Arsenal. The injury required surgery and he has yet to train or play since.
In May, respected journalist Chris Williams shared news on X that Bradley’s injury was worse than the club or reporters close to it had reported.
His post read: “Information tonight from within IFA, via LFC, that Conor Bradley’s injury is far worse than reported.
“With wider ramifications if proven. Whoever comes in as the new Liverpool head coach, a RB is now a massive priority.”

Now, Liverpool fans have been encouraged with news that it won’t be that long until we see the 23-year-old back in action.
Liverpool receive “nice surprise” over Bradley injury return date
Journalist David Lynch reports that Bradley will be back in action shortly even if Liverpool will take their time getting him back up to speed after such a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
“Conor Bradley, as I’m told, is targeting a return shortly after the start of the season,” Lynch said on YouTube.
“So he’s not a million miles away, which might be a nice surprise for some of you.
“But they’re not relying on him. They know they’ve got to take it slow. They’ve got to be very, very careful with him.”
In total, Bradley has so far spent 173 days on the sidelines, missing the last 27 games of the 2025/26 season. His absence was critical in the poor performance of Arne Slot’s side, with Jeremie Frimpong also battling with injury at the time, meaning Dominik Szoboszlai had to play even more games at right back.
Bradley has a clean slate under Andoni Iraola
Slot was replaced by Andoni Iraola at the end of last season, with Bradley one of the players who will feel most excited about having a clean slate to work with under the new boss.
Bradley’s timely return to fitness will also likely mean the need for a new right back is mitigated although time will tell if this is truly the case.
