Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has proven year after year that he is one of the best in the game today (if not the best). No matter who he has had at quarterback he consistently puts up eye popping numbers and makes unbelievable catches.
He has turned into the face of the franchise in Minnesota. However, that ins’t stopping a rumor floating around that a Justin Jefferson trade could be on the horizon.
Here are the details.

Justin Jefferson Trade Rumor Goes Viral
Jefferson is coming off a disappointing season in 2025. While it wasn’t a bad year, it was a career low for the two-time All-Pro receiver. A PFN WR Impact Metric rankings showed him as the league’s 38th-best wideout with 84 receptions on 141 targets for 1,048 yards and two touchdowns.
Last year, the sixth-year receiver clearly had moments of frustration when the ball wasn’t reaching him when it should have.
To make matters worse, the Vikings finished 9-8 after going 14-3 the previous year. Could Minnesota listen to trade offers in 2026 if its season doesn’t start well?
According to an insider with the Las Vegas Raiders, yes. According to Sports Illustrated insider Hondo Carpenter, Jefferson might exactly be the type of player the Raiders are looking for to provide Fernando Mendoza with a long term weapon:
“I think you wait and let that Justin Jefferson thing pan out a little bit. Nothing’s imminent. I’m not saying anything is imminent,” Carpenter said on the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast (raidersbeat.com). “I just know that there’s a potential that he may want to move on and he had his best play with Klint (Kubiak).
Carpenter added, “I think and may have reason to believe that he would be amicable if he were to be moved to be reunited… with Klint Kubiak.”

Jefferson’s first two seasons in the NFL coincided with Kubiak’s tenure as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for the Vikings.
In his rookie season, he caught 88 passes for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns, while his sophomore year he caught 108 passes for 1,616 yards and ten touchdowns, earning him Pro Bowl selections both years.
The Raiders head coach was instrumental in Jefferson’s early development in Minnesota, so it would make sense for the two to team up again.
