Speaking at Fanatics Fest in New York, Edwards revealed that he FaceTimed Knicks center and former Timberwolves teammate Karl-Anthony Towns before every game of the NBA Finals.

Edwards shared Spurs scouting tips

Edwards shared information he had gathered after Minnesota faced San Antonio earlier in the playoffs, offering Towns advice on the Spurs' tendencies and how to defend Victor Wembanyama.

"I'd give him tips on which players like to go where and tell him stuff about Wemby," Edwards revealed. "I gave him a cheat code, and he passed the test."

Former teammates remain close

Edwards and Towns spent four seasons together in Minnesota before the big man was traded to New York.

Despite becoming opponents, the two have maintained a close relationship, with Edwards providing some behind-the-scenes assistance during Towns' championship run.

Towns played a major role in New York's title-winning campaign, while Edwards' recent playoff experience against the Spurs gave him valuable insight to share ahead of the Finals.
