Jabbar Muhammad went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, largely due to his 5-foot-9, 182-pound frame and lack of elite speed, but signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Muhammad battled for a roster spot during his rookie season and primarily lined up in the slot in the preseason, totaling six tackles and one pass deflection. Unfortunately, the Jaguars released him but re-signed him to the practice squad, where he spent the remainder of the season.
Jacksonville signed Jabbar Muhammad to a reserve/futures deal. As a result, he will compete for the No. 5 cornerback spot against Christian Braswell, Dane Jackson, Devon Marshall, and Keni-H Lovely.

Jabbar Muhammad has impressed throughout the spring and is in contention for the No. 5 cornerback role, a spot many believed Christian Braswell was a lock to secure. Liam Coen reflected on the former undrafted free agent’s progress, as reported by Ryan O’Halloran of The Florida Times-Union. Coen said that if the Jaguars gave out a most improved player award, Muhammad would receive it because of the many plays he has made.
“You could argue for a most improved (award) for Jabbar over the last year,” Coen said, via O’Halloran. “He’s made so many plays. We’re excited about what he’s able to do.
Muhammad has also caught the attention of the DC
“I think he’s improved a ton,” Anthony Campanile said. “But just watching him, he’s really been super detailed with his technique. I think that’s one of the things that shows up. Very, very deliberate like in the way that he’s practicing and I think that’s created some takeaways for him and making some plays on the ball. He just always seems to be near the action right now. So he’s really done a great job and improved a bunch this spring.”
