NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The sportsbooks don’t possess a ton of faith in the New Orleans Pelicans for this upcoming season.
FanDuel Sportsbook installed the Pels over/under win total at 29.5 wins for the 2026-27 season. Last year, New Orleans finished with 26 wins.
Jamahl Mosley got hired this offseason as the new head coach of the Pelicans. Willie Green was fired early last season. James Borrego served as the team’s interim head coach after the firing of Green.
The Pelicans only addition to the roster was the signing of New Orleans native Jaron Pierre, Jr.
Only three teams own a lower win total in the Western Conference: Grizzlies (28.5), Clippers (28.5), and the Kings (22.5).
In front of the Pelicans in the West: Thunder (61.5), Spurs (60.5), Nuggets (49.5), Timberwolves (48.5), Rockets (47.5), Lakers (44.5), Trailblazers (43.5), Warriors (40.5), Suns (38.5), Jazz (35.5), and Mavericks (34.5).
