The NFL Draft has turned into the biggest off-season event each and every year. Hundreds of thousands of fans come out to see the newest batch of rookies come into the league. Who their favorite team decides to draft is always widely debated in the months and weeks leading up to the big night.
However, a massive scandal is now surfacing regarding information leaking. Here are the details.

NFL Draft Sees Massive Scandal Surface
Arizona Cardinals personnel executive Ryan Gold has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for violating its gambling policy.
As a result of the league’s investigation, Gold provided confidential, nonpublic inside information on 2026 Cardinals draft selections before the picks were announced. He also made parlay bets on NFL and college games. It was not revealed to whom Gold provided the information.
“The Gambling Policy, which is annually reviewed with all NFL personnel, strictly prohibits anyone in the NFL from participating in or facilitating any form of sports gambling, and from providing third parties non-public information,” the league said in a statement. “
Although there is no reason to believe the integrity of any NFL game was affected, the League takes any violation of the Gambling Policy with the utmost seriousness.”
Additionally, the Cardinals released the following statement:
“The NFL’s policies and expectations for all employees are clear, comprehensive, and consistently communicated. We fully support the league’s decision in this matter, which involves a single employee. Our focus remains on preparing for the start of training camp next week and the 2026 season.”
In the NFL, gambling policies are strictly enforced for players, teams, and league employees. Over 20,000 league members have been educated about gambling through the league’s gambling education program.

There is no indication that any other Cardinals member, coach or player was aware of or involved in this activity, according to the league. Moreover, the league indicated that this activity had no effect on any play or game.
