Benton Football Camp
Keeanu Benton’s Big Time Benton Foundation just wrapped up hosting a football camp. At least two Steelers teammates joined him for the event. EDGEs Nick Herbig and Jack Sawyer made the trip, and the trio snapped the photo below with others.
The event took place in Janesville, Wisconsin, where Benton grew up and played high school football. It’s the second year Benton has held the camp.
Herbig’s attendance is no surprise. He and Benton are great friends who played at Wisconsin together and were drafted by Pittsburgh in the same season. It’s pleasant to see Sawyer attend. He’s looking to build on a solid rookie season.
Benton is one of many Steelers active in both Pittsburgh and their home communities. Yesterday, we noted TE Pat Freiermuth’s generous donation to his hometown.
Bengals Uniforms Versus Steelers
The Cincinnati Bengals announced they will wear their all-white jerseys this year for a Sunday night Week 10 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Bengals wore them last season in their 33-31 shootout win over the Steelers. Cincinnati has a good track record in these special uniforms, but Pittsburgh will look to spoil their good fortune.
Pittsburgh and Cincinnati have split their season series in each of the past two seasons. The Steelers last swept the Bengals in 2023.
Reed Becomes Mentor
Former Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed has joined the Legends Kicking Academy as both an in-person and virtual trainer and mentor. Doug Chavis announced the news yesterday.

Reed kicked for the Steelers from 2002 through 2010 before finishing his career with the San Francisco 49ers. Reed remains third in Pittsburgh history in field goals and scoring.
NFL Top 100 Controversy
Baltimore Ravens were upset over QB Lamar Jackson’s lowly No. 69 ranking on this year’s NFL Top 100 list. Seeing Kyle Hamilton at just No. 63 didn’t make them feel any better. It’s yet another surprising selection for one of the game’s best defenders.
A recent ESPN poll of NFL execs named Hamilton the league’s top safety. But according to a players’ vote, he isn’t near the top 50, even dropping 12 spots since last season.
Hamilton didn’t intercept a pass last season but earned his second first-team All-Pro bid.
As of Thursday evening, only one Steeler has appeared in the top 100. Defensive back Jalen Ramsey showed up at No. 82.
