There's just one World Cup game remaining before attention can shift back to Liverpool and Andoni Iraola's first season in charge.
The final takes place in New Jersey on Sunday, with Alexis Mac Allister's Argentina facing Victor Munoz's Spain. Once that game is done, all eyes will be on Liverpool's preseason tour of the United States and the new Premier League campaign.
The Reds will take on Sunderland in Nashville, Wrexham in New York and Leeds in Chicago before flying back to Europe for friendlies against Monaco and Como. Liverpool's first Premier League game is against Newcastle at St. James' Park on August 23.
Before that latter game, Liverpool is likely to bring in more players to ensure Iraola's squad is as competitive as possible. Here, Liverpool.com rounds up the latest transfer updates involving the Reds.
Rashford transfer possible
Marcus Rashford's £40 million ($53 million) transfer clause has now expired.
This is interesting from a Liverpool perspective because every top club in Europe — except the Reds and Manchester City — were able to take advantage of this clause.

Now that the clause has expired, there's no longer anything standing in the way of Liverpool making an audacious bid for Rashford. That is extremely unlikely to happen, of course. Phil Chisnall was the last player to move between Manchester United and Liverpool back in 1964.
But at least the expiration of the clause means United will negotiate Rashford's potential exit on a club-by-club basis, rather than work off a clause designed to stop the 28-year-old forward from joining Liverpool or City.
Salah truth emerges
Mohamed Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, has denied reports that his client has decided on his next club.
A rumor emerged on Friday that Salah had reached a verbal agreement with Turkish side Besiktas. Yet Abbas, who frequently uses social media to update fans on Salah, took to X to provide an update on the Liverpool icon shortly after the Besiktas claim was made.
Abbas wrote: "We still do not know where Mohamed will play next season, but we may know very soon."

He then added: "It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn’t want to play for, just for the sake of noise."
Before continuing: "I personally do not know where Mohamed will play next season. What does that tell you?"
While Abbas did not directly squash reports linking Salah with Besiktas, it's clear a decision on his future is yet to be made. Salah is a free agent after ending his nine-year spell with Liverpool, one that saw him win several trophies and score 257 goals.
