World Cup## The names of each stadium at the World Cup had to change from their official names for the soccer tournament, with one already seen getting rid of the amendments made this week

Atlanta Falcons' Mercedes-Benz Stadium has boasted about bringing the name back after having to make changes for the World Cup this summer.
The Georgia stadium held Argentina's semifinal with England this week, with Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham's team throwing away a 1-0 lead in the last few minutes, as Lionel Messi will play in his second consecutive World Cup final. But having held their last game of the tournament, preparations are now underway for the return of the NFL in just a few weeks' time.
11 of the 16 venues used for the World Cup were primarily NFL stadiums, which changed their playing surfaces from turf to grass and their names.

FIFA did not allow the use of stadium names because companies pay hundreds of millions of dollars to be official partners or World Cup sponsors.
These are given exclusive advertising rights at the tournament — meaning the likes of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium were renamed to "Atlanta Stadium."
However, now that the tournament is nearly over, their official X page shows them bringing back their actual name.
They tweeted a video of all the World Cup signs being pulled down and the Mercedes-Benz logo being back.
The caption read: "We Back Baby! (Though we never really left!)."
MetLife Stadium is set to host the final this Sunday (July 19), but will officially be named "New York New Jersey Stadium" due to MetLife not being an official sponsor of the World Cup this summer.
Messi's Argentina come into the final as underdogs against Spain, after playing close knockout games against Cape Verde, Egypt, Switzerland and England.

Argentina won the tournament in 2022 after defeating Kylian Mbappe and France in a dramatic penalty shootout in Qatar, which finally saw Messi land the game's most prestigious tournament.
Immediately after the game, work will be gone at MetLife to prepare for the New York Jets and New York Giants' return, with preseason beginning in just three weeks.
