‘I Don’t Have Any’: Bills Star Gets Brutally Honest on Expectations From Josh Allen

Many expect Josh Allen tobounce back after a down year by his standards. He won the NFL MVP award in the previous season and led the Buffalo Bills to the AFC Championship game.

The quarterback played all 17 regular-season games for the third straight year in 2025. He completed 319-of-460 passes for 3,668 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Buffalo finished second in the AFC East with a 12-5 record but failed to advance past the Divisional Round, losing 33-30 in overtime to the Denver Broncos.

Allen aims to get over the hump and finally win a Super Bowl. His veteran teammates, including Dion Dawkins, will support him by giving their best throughout the campaign.

Bills OT Dion Dawkins Has No Expectations On Josh Allen

Bills offnesive tackle Dion Dawkins shared his honest thoughts on what he expects from Allen next season. Dawkins stressed that he doesn’t want to add to the pressure on the four-time Pro Bowler’s shoulders.

“I don’t have any,”Dawkins said, via NFL.com’s Kevin Patra. “I don’t add any more extra pressure to that kid that he already has. Josh understands what he’s doing, what he’s not doing. He understands what the mindset is and what we all expect, just like we know what Josh expects from us, as well, to help him get there.

“When it comes down to it, Josh is Josh, and he’s gonna be Josh. He’s No. 1 for a reason, so I don’t think that we need any more expectations than we already have.

Dawkins and Allen have played together for nine seasons and experienced the same heartbreaks. The Temple product entered the league a year before Allen was selected at No. 7 overall in 2018. He appeared and started in 15 games last season.

Buffalo has reached the playoffs in each campaign since 2019 but has never had a Super Bowl appearance. The longtime teammates are hoping that 2026 is the breakout year they have been waiting for and that they can bring the franchise its first championship.
