**Liverpool are one of the Premier League teams paying close attention to 19-year-old Ayyoub Bouaddi’s transfer file, but they will have to beat Arsenal to the punch.**
It remains to be seen if Liverpool will actually sign a midfielder this summer after a concerning claim from the reliable David Lynch, who says it’s not a huge priority this summer.
Lynch said on [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5wcCRmSpTQ): _“One thing I want to get across about Liverpool’s situation in midfield: sources are telling me it’s not the priority at the moment.”_
Arsenal enter race for Bouaddi

Bouaddi is under contract with Monaco until 2029, but is now pushing for a move to the English top flight, where he has no shortage of suitors after impressing in Ligue 1 and at the 2026 World Cup with Morocco.
“Premier League champions Arsenal have entered the race to sign Moroccan wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his squad with one of Europe’s brightest young talents,” the report reads.
Arsenal entering the race for Bouaddi is a major issue for Liverpool given they have the sway that only the reigning Premier League champions do, compared to the uncertainty of the Anfield project.
Andoni Iraola has restored a sense of hope to the Anfield faithful, but after the capitulation of the 2025/26 title defence and the departure of Mohamed Salah this summer, Liverpool have lost a little bit of their pull factor from 2025.
That said, Arsenal might not be able to offer the pathway to a starting role that Liverpool could given that Declan Rice has total dominion over the role that Bouaddi would hope to occupy at the Emirates Stadium

Bouaddi’s desire to move to the Premier League will certainly have already caught the attention of Liverpool’s vaunted recruitment department.
