Heat trade pitch brings in Bronny, plus LeBron’s favorite teammate of all time

Pat Riley made it known when introducing Giannis Antetokounmpo on Thursday that he is still trying to land another player, which certainly means that he's going after LeBron James. James, who has yet to make his decision on what he plans to do for his future, is the top player remaining on the market at the moment.

Landing a player of James' caliber after trading for Antetokounmpo would be a major step in the right direction, though it remains unclear how realistic that is.

In one recent trade idea, the Heat would be doing everything they can to entice James to come back to South Beach.

The trade idea from one Heavy Sports writer would take a lot to pull off and is unfortunately a bit unrealistic at the moment unless some things change, but it's still an exciting one and a deal that could make a lot of sense for the Heat if it were actually possible.

“The Miami Heat is one strong landing spot for the veteran superstar. While several reasons may entice him to return to South Beach, a potential double reunion could work. While not directly involving LeBron, a move for his son and former championship teammate could be a strong pitch.

“In a proposed three-team trade, the Heat would acquire Kyrie Irving from the Dallas Mavericks as well as Dalton Knecht and Bronny James from the Los Angeles Lakers,” Adel Ahmad wrote.

The biggest deal here would be landing Kyrie Irving, though again, the Heat would need a lot of help for this type of trade to happen. It would have to move on a ton of assets for the salary to even be possible here.

The James situation doesn't matter much if he decides to take a veteran minimum contract. Irving is currently playing on a three-year, $118 million deal, so it isn't exactly like they can't send anything out salary-wise for him.
