Many have started to suggest that at some point over the next year or so, the Phoenix Suns could decide to move on from Devin Booker.
There hasn't been any indication from the organization that Phoenix is even looking to do so at the moment, but others believe it could happen in the future because it isn't exactly in a great spot to win right now and Booker might want to win a championship at some point.
One crazy trade idea would be sending him to the Toronto Raptors, who are currently dealing with the entire Kawhi Leonard situation.
The proposed trade would land the Suns multiple first-round picks, though some changes would be needed because of the Leonard deal.
“One bold proposal involves acquiring Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker in a blockbuster trade. This looks more far-fetched than most options for obvious reasons; however, there is a chance a trade could be possible.
“In a hypothetical deal, the Raptors would get Booker and send out Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett, along with unprotected first-round picks in 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030 to Phoenix,” Adel Ahmad wrote.
Moving on from Immanuel Quickley would make a lot of sense from the Raptors' perspective, and some have grown frustrated with RJ Barrett.
I don't think the Raptors are actively shopping Barrett, though I could see them moving on from Quickley sometime over the next few months. Regardless, if a guy like Booker becomes available and you can pair him with Leonard and Scottie Barnes, this would be a fun deal to make.
