Gilberto Mora will not reach this age until October 2026. This means that the club cannot officially sign him during the current transfer window. The leadership at Tijuana are fully aware of the immense value of their asset. Club owner Jorge Hank said they want to keep the player for another season to support his growth. Moreover, the Mexican side has already secured his future with the club. The club has signed a new contract with Gilberto that runs until June 2029.
This long-term deal will give the club significant leverage in any future talks. It ensures that any suitor must pay a premium price to take him away from Mexico. As reported by GOAL, his market value already exceeds £34 million after his display in the World Cup.
As reported by LiverpoolEcho, his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is carefully managing the attention on the teenager. Before the World Cup, amid interest from several top European clubs, she said:“We’re in no rush, but he’s developing quickly. We need to study the ideal place for him to develop.” Pimenta wants to find the best place for Mora’s long-term growth. She is focusing on his progress over simply taking up the highest offer.

Liverpool face a difficult battle to land the player. Real Madrid are actively tracking his progress and have made several calls about a long-term move.
