Chelsea have hijacked Arsenal's move to sign Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers after having a bid of £117m accepted to sign the England international, according to David Ornstein.
Arsenal had made the 23-year-old England international their top attacking target this summer and GIVEMESPORT sources reported earlier this week that they were preparing to make their first bid to try and land him.
However, now Chelsea have swooped in and reached a verbal agreement with their Premier League rivals over a deal, with a medical scheduled for Monday.
Rogers is set to sign a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge, which includes six years with the option of a further 12 months.

Rogers had looked most likely to join Arsenal this summer after the Premier League champions identified him as their top attacking target, but Ornstein's bombshell update on X on Saturday evening has put paid to that.
While reports suggested that the England international, who is due to face France in 2026 World Cup third-place play-off in just a few hours' time, was open to a move to the Emirates, it is now said that he wanted to join Chelsea with Xabi Alonso playing an instrumental role in the move.
This is a breaking story. More to follow...
