**Chelsea have reached an agreement with Aston Villa to sign attacker Morgan Rogers.**
[The Athletic](https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6390212/2026/07/18/morgan-rogers-chelsea-transfer-aston-villa-future/?unlocked_article_code=1.ylA.Cmnr.1Ldb2IRNAVlb&source=athletic_user_shared_gift_article_copylink&smid=url-share-ta&source=twitteruk) first reported that Villa have accepted a bid of £117m for the 23-year-old.
Personal terms are also in place for Rogers to head to Stamford Bridge, though the deal is still being finalised.
[Arsenal have been heavily interested in signing Rogers](https://hayters.com/rogers-determined-to-stay-grounded-amid-transfer-talk-and-england-rise/), identifying him as a top target this summer.
But Chelsea appear to have beaten the reigning Premier League champions to the signing of the England international, who is said to have chosen the west London club as his preferred destination.
The deal going through would be a club record signing for Chelsea, surpassing the £106m paid for Enzo Fernandez.
