He also posted 56 pressures, an 18.8% pass-rush win rate (seventh-best) on 344 pass-rushing reps and five run stops on 170 run-defense snaps.
Chop Robinson remained in a rotational pass-rushing role in his second season despite the Dolphins trading Jaelan Phillips at the NFL Trade Deadline and was also not as productive due to a lingering knee injury. Robinson totaled 21 tackles, four tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits, four sacks, one batted pass, and one forced fumble across 15 games, three starts, and 417 defensive snaps. He also posted 19 pressures, an 8.4% pass-rush win rate on 241 pass-rushing reps, and nine run stops on 150 run-defense snaps.

Chop Robinson faces a pivotal third season because he is expected to step into a full-time starting role and become the Dolphins’ top EDGE rusher, especially after releasing Bradley Chubb in March. Robinson must prove he can contribute on early running downs while consistently rushing the passer and returning to his rookie form. He also needs to stay healthy because the EDGE room is arguably the weakest unit in the league.
Lastly, Robinson has a fully guaranteed 5th-year option attached to his rookie contract for the 2028 season, with the decision due next May. If the promising EDGE rusher performs well and is a reliable replacement for Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips, Miami could exercise the option. Additionally, if he exceeds expectations, he could secure a very lucrative extension next offseason.
Robinson aims to be a complete player in 2026
” I mean, just my weaknesses and everything from the past two seasons I had. Just build on that. I know what I’m good at and then really just focus on the weaknesses and be a complete player, and that’ll make me who I am,” Robinson said, via the team’s website.
