When Danhausen uncursed the New York Knicks and they proceeded to win the NBA Championship, it was set in stone — WWE was going to do everything it could to make him the biggest star possible in the city. Saturday Night’s Main Event just so happened to be scheduled for tonight (Sat., July 18, 2026) at Madison Square Garden. The promotion wasted no time booking Danhausen in a match.
They put him opposite The Judgment Day, as he’s been terrorizing the group for weeks now, and that meant a match-up against JD McDonagh. Dirty Dominik Mysterio was out with his stablemate, however, and this was significant because it was to be a No Disqualification match.
The real question was how goofy the match would get. McDonagh was doing his thing early, and then Danhausen put a Knicks jersey on and it amounted to a power up. That didn’t last long, as Mysterio simply hopped the ring and it turned into a 1v2, and there wasn’t much Danhausen could do about it.
That is until the Minihausens showed up. They distracted Judgment Day long enough for Danhausen to put a cat in his cloning machine.
When it exploded in a puff of smoke, KAT walked out.
That would be Karl-Anthony Towns, the current Center for the Knicks. The big man hit the ring and instantly choke slammed McDonagh before doing the same to Dom, who got the worst of it because he went through a table. KAT then cursed McDonagh, Danhausen hit the death drop, and that got the pinfall.
I’m not saying this is going to be in running for “Match of the Year” but it was great fun nonetheless.
