SOUTHEND United duo Harry Taylor and Leon Parillon both missed Blues' pre-season friendly with West Ham United to injury.
Taylor was sidelined with a heel problem while Parillon did not feature after picking up a problem in the warm up.

But Blues boss Kieron Dyer is hopeful the duo will soon be back in action.
"Harry hasn't been with us, he overdid it in the off-season plan on the treadmill and had a heel problem," said Dyer,
"He's back on the grass with Elliot (Turner) and will be fed into football this week.
"We're hoping he will get some minutes against Leyton Orient."
And Parillon could be back even quicker.
"Leon has had a stop-start pre-season," said Dyer.
"When he's trained he's shown me the quality he has.
"He was meant to be coming on for 45 minutes in the second half.
"He was going to replace Oli (Coker) and play in that number 10 role but he kicked the floor when he was doing shooting in the warm up.
"His ankle has swollen up a bit and we're not going to take risks with Leon.
"It was a shame because I haven't seen Leon in a game environment yet.
"Hopefully it won't be too serious and he will be back for Northampton."
