Narduzzi On Steelers
Pitt Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi spoke with reporters yesterday, noting he enjoyed his close partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Panthers and Steelers have a unique relationship of sharing the same stadium and practice facility, something Narduzzi thinks brings plenty of benefits.
“It’s a major, major advantage,” Narduzzi said via On3’s Brett McMurphy. “Recruits can watch the Steelers practicing. Mike Tomlin, Mike McCarthy … you might be calling me Mike Narduzzi soon.”

As Narduzzi joked, the Steelers may be changing head coaches but not first names. Mike McCarthy is the third “Mike” head coach in franchise history behind Tomlin and Mike Nixon, who lasted just one season in 1965 before being fired.
Five Iheanachor Facts
Steelers.com’s Teresa Varley recently shared “five fast facts” on first-round pick OT Max Iheanachor, detailing his background, his football career, and the profession his family originally wanted him to pursue.
From JUCO college offensive lineman to the 21st pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, it’s all worked out well for Iheanachor so far. He’ll battle Dylan Cook for the right tackle job this summer.
NFL’s Top Tight End
The Arizona Cardinals’ Trey McBride was named the NFL’s top tight end as voted on by a recent panel of AP voters. Despite toiling on a three-win Arizona team, McBride has shined. Last year, he caught 126 passes for more than 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Pittsburgh saw first-hand what McBride could do in 2023 when he caught eight passes for 89 yards and one touchdown in a Cardinals 24-10 upset over the Steelers.
McBride edged out the San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle for the top spot. No Steeler made the list of the top five, though neither Pat Freiermuth nor Darnell Washington was expected to be ranked that high.
