MARCO Rose has revealed what he and Andoni Iraola discussed in their handover meeting earlier this summer and said that his predecessor had not left much space for him to improve on the club's league position after last season's historic campaign.
The two head coaches met after the conclusion of the season, before Rose officially started in Bournemouth and before Iraola was appointed Liverpool boss.
It was a rare meeting that doesn't often happen at clubs in the modern game, with the two able to discuss the squad and club ahead of the German taking charge.

Explaining what they spoke about, Rose said: "Of course, we were talking about a couple of players and other stuff, even how it is to live here, about pubs, in particular, and we just had a good chat, because I admire his work.
"I've heard that he knows me from former times in Salzburg, that he liked to watch my teams.
"So yeah, we have the same approach with some different details.

"So we just had a nice chat."
Rose said it was a positive experience to have before starting at the Cherries.
"It's always about, for me, always about relations, connections, and I'm very thankful about the opportunity to have a chat with Andoni," he said.
"We were sitting together for, I think, one hour, and then Tiago [Pinto, president of football operations] came in and said, hey guys, we have to do other stuff as well.
"And I think if he wouldn't come, we [would have] had two or three hours together talking about football.
"That's how it works if you are a coach on this level!
"And yeah, again, I'm happy to be here and looking forward to start with the guys the first four sessions.

"I really enjoyed the intensity that the team has had, the mentality the team have to do things.
"It's really great."
Rose has been explicit that the Cherries have not come just to turn up in the Europa League and he wants to compete and go as far as possible.
But what are his goals in the league? He explained: "I mean, Andoni didn't leave a lot of space to improve!
"It's about doing well, have a good feeling, have the feeling that we did everything to win games.
"Of course, then we have to win games, to get points out of the game and try to win just every game and everyone, if we finish the game, has the feeling, the cameras, the fans, the opponent, that it was a tough one to play against us, to face us and if we do it consistently I'm quite sure that we get point points out of out of the game."
