Christopher Griffith, who has accused former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs of sexual assault in a pending civil lawsuit, appeared in a new TMZ interview Friday to address characterizations of his case as a cash grab, saying a money settlement would not satisfy what he is looking for from the legal process, per TMZ.
Griffith described what he says is at the root of the legal conflict. “Differences of opinion, refusal to tell the truth, an obligation to myself and children that bear my name, and a responsibility that I hold very near and dear to my heart. So I gotta walk this down. Justice for CB.”
On the cash grab characterization directly, he was unequivocal. “I’m not worried about no money. I never demanded $1 amount. I’m not demanding $1. Come on. Do it look like I’m worth my money?”

Griffith also addressed Cardi B’s recent defense of Diggs
Cardi B recently defended Diggs publicly on social media. Griffith responded without being drawn into an extended exchange.
“A liar told her I was lying, and she believed it. Unfortunately.” On Diggs calling his claims false: “I don’t know why liars lie, but if a liar told me I was lying, I wouldn’t believe them.” On the number of children Diggs has with different women: “How many kids were born last year with the last name Diggs? A plethora. He can’t be telling all the truth.”
His comments about the court case were the most pointed. “I feel validated. I feel vindicated. I feel like the truth is going to shine bright. For what they did to me, especially here in LA, May 29 at my residence. When I say somebody got to pay, I ain’t talking financial. Like justice really got to be executed within full form. So somebody got to go. Somebody got to be held responsible. If it’s up to me, this case is trialed before a judge and jury, and I can’t wait for that day.”

Diggs recently filed a legal response, obtained by TMZ, calling Griffith’s specific sexual conduct allegations “completely false and defamatory.” Diggs filed a defamation lawsuit against Griffith in October 2025. Griffith countersued over the alleged May 2023 incident at Diggs’ Maryland home, claiming he was drugged and subjected to unwanted sexual advances. Griffith separately settled a $10 million lawsuit against Diggs’ brother Darez earlier this month, with no terms disclosed.
Diggs denies all allegations. No trial date has been set. Griffith’s attorney has separately filed a motion asking the court to compel Diggs to produce financial records related to how the allegations have affected him, arguing Diggs “does not get to sue and hide.”
