Tracy McGrady criticized Julius Randle's poor postseason performance following his trade from the Timberwolves to the Nets. McGrady suggested Randle’s underwhelming play resulted from being distracted by trade rumors, urging the forward to remain professional despite front-office decisions and salary cap maneuvers.
Minnesota Timberwolves traded Julius Randle to the Brooklyn Nets in a deal that was rather completed to clear the salary cap.

After a second-round exit to the San Antonio Spurs, they decided to do a relative overhaul of the roster.
Randle was not up to his greatest performances in the postseason, averaging 16 points and 7.5 rebounds in 12 games, well below his regular season average.
Tracy McGrady pointed it out well in a Cousins Podcast with Vince Carter and criticised Randle for his performances:
"I hate how Julius Randle played last year in the playoffs," McGrady started for Cousins Podcast.
"He played like that because I think he was in his feelings cause he was in the trade talks," he said.
"You got to stay professional, I don't care what the case may be. Come on now," McGrady concluded.
