Arsenal is said to have made contact to inquire about Yan Diomande's situation at RB Leipzig in the last few days, a few weeks after it emerged his preference was to sign for PSG.
Liverpool was keen to sign the Ivory Coast star and indicated to Leipzig that it would be willing to put together a package worth around $117 million (£85 million) for the 19-year-old. However, news then came out that Diomande would rather move to Paris to sign for Luis Enrique.
So far, though, there have been no further movements. No bid has been made yet, and Leipzig would rather keep the teenager for another 12 months anyway, having only signed him from Leganes a year ago.
According to Fabrizio Romano, though, Arsenal asked the question about Diomande's situation in the last few days. Another Mikel Arteta target, Morgan Rogers, appears to have chosen Chelsea instead.
"I don't know; I'm not thinking about my future after the World Cup," Diomande told reporters while he was at the World Cup.
"I'm trying to put all my energy into the World Cup, and then I'll see what's happening after. I can say nothing about that."

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been tipped to move for PSG forward Bradley Barcola, especially if Diomande does move to the Ligue 1 giant.
Barcola, who scored for France against England on Saturday, is expected to make a decision on his future now the World Cup is over, but he wants more game time.
If Diomande does join PSG, that would only further push Barcola down the pecking order. At Liverpool, in particular, there would be a clear pathway for him to start every week.
"Right now, I'm really focused on the World Cup, as you said," Barcola told a French journalist during a press conference at the start of this month.

Liverpool.com says: Diomande would have been the ideal signing for the Reds on the right flank. Barcola would be an excellent addition too.
Aside from those two, though, there are not many elite wingers on the market. Andoni Iraola spoke this week about the need to get someone else in, with Liverpool working on sorting something out.

The sooner someone can come in, the better, with pre-season already underway and the US tour beginning this week.
