Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol believes the Reds should already have completed more transfer business this summer, warning that waiting much longer could force the club into unnecessary risks.
Speaking on ESPN FC, Nicol said:
“Absolutely 100% they should have more signings by now, and the longer it goes without any [more], it just tells you they’re gonna end up gambling when they shouldn’t be.”
His comments reflect the growing impatience among sections of the Liverpool fanbase as the transfer window progresses.
A Busy Summer—But Work Still to Do
Liverpool have already strengthened in several areas, bringing in players such as Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Jeremy Jacquet.
However, many supporters still believe the squad needs further additions before the window closes.
The positions most frequently discussed include:

A defensive midfielder.
A right winger to replace Mohamed Salah.

That would allow new players more time to adapt to the manager’s demanding tactical approach.
