Harvey Foster said David Moyes had been generous with his time and help for the Everton academy players who, like him, stepped up to the first team against Dundee

Everton youngster Harvey Foster described his first appearance for the senior team as “the stuff of dreams”.
The 19-year-old was a second-half substitute as Everton started their pre-season schedule with a 4-0 win over Dundee in Scotland.
He capped off the landmark by scoring the Blues’ third goal of the match, producing a sharp first-time finish from outside the box as he intercepted a ball out from Dundee’s goalkeeper.
Reflecting on a milestone afternoon, Foster said: “It was good.
“It was a stadium full of fans and with the first team - it is the stuff of dreams. And then to score is just an add-on. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be with them at the start of the week, I’m very grateful.”
Foster was involved in the Under-21s’ 2-1 defeat to Oldham Athletic on Friday and found out that night that he would be involved with the first team the next day. On the goal, he added: “I’m just happy to contribute… As long as it contributes to the team winning, that’s the main thing.”
The midfielder said he had enjoyed the training camp in Scotland that kickstarted Everton’s pre-season and that David Moyes had helped him and the other academy players who had stepped up - which on Saturday included Malik Olayiwola, Braiden Graham, George Finney, Will Tamen, Eli Campbell and Joel Catesby.
Foster said: “He’s been great. Honestly, the set up with me and the lads, I know we have only been with him a short time but every one of the U21s that have been up, he’s spoken to us, talked to us about our game and it has been really good.”
Foster is likely to be considered for a loan move this summer but for now, his hope is to stay in the thoughts of Moyes over the coming weeks.
He said: “That is definitely the hope. Obviously it is down to the manager, I will just keep working hard, doing my best and then seeing what comes of it.”
