It has been an interesting summer transfer window for Liverpool after surrendering the Premier League last season, and they are starting a new era under new manager Andoni Iraola.
Iraola replaced Arne Slot at the start of June following an impressive reign at Bournemouth. He had been in high demand and the Reds saw off plenty of competition to land the highly-rated Spanish tactician.
They haven't had as much joy landing top targets, including Yan Diomande, who prioritised Paris Saint-Germain over a move to Anfield. There have been two new signings made by the Merseysiders, with Jeremy Jacquet officially arriving from Rennes and Victor Munoz from Osasuna.
A new winger remains a priority for Iraola and his transfer chiefs following Mohamed Salah's exit. But there is also a need to replace Andy Robertson, who likewise departed for Tottenham Hotspur after his contract expired.

Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on Borussia Dortmund's Daniel Svensson and CaughtOffside reports that he is "firmly on their transfer agenda."
So much so that the Reds have a "concrete plan" to sign the versatile Swedish left-back. They do, however, face competition from Arsenal, who are keen on signing a player capable of playing multiple positions, like the Swede.
Svensson, dubbed a "Camavinga clone", is highly coveted, and AC Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid have also been linked with the 24-year-old. He's a player who could suit Iraola's system as he has the ability to play centrally, and this is a quality the Spaniard likes from his full-backs.
Dortmund are in a strong position because the player still has three years left on his contract. It's been reported that a potential deal for the Sweden international could cost around €50 million (£42.5m), despite earlier reports of a €35-45m (£30-40m) price tag.

Robertson's departure is hugely impactful, not just on the pitch but also in the dressing room. The veteran Scottish left-back was one of the leaders at Anfield and his experience helped youngsters adapt to life with the Merseysiders.
Svensson doesn't quite possess those qualities at this stage of his career, but he has shown promise during his time at Signal Iduna Park. He ticks plenty of boxes for Iraola as he can play in various positions and has already experienced elite-level football at Dortmund.
