After winning the Super Bowl at the end of the 2025 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles have been itching to get back ever since. Yet, as they found out last season, repeating the same success easy. While the Eagles still had no trouble reaching the postseason thanks to a stellar 11-6 record, they couldn’t get past the NFC Wild Card.
We’ve since seen Eagles general manager Howie Roseman respond by shaking up the roster in a number of ways. Yet, some still wonder if the Eagles need a bit more roster help.

Should the Eagles Sign Von Miller?

One area that’s come under scrutiny since letting Jaelan Phillips sign elsewhere in free agency is the Eagles’ remaining group of edge rushers. That’s partially the motivation behind trading two third-round picks for former Pro Bowler Jonathan Greenard, but is it enough?
Recently, Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton suggested that the Eagles should sign future Hall of Fame edge rusher Von Miller in free agency. While he’s now 37 years old, Miller still recorded nine sacks while starting just three of 17 appearances with the Washington Commanders, and now he may be able to help the Eagles too.
“Miller is open to a second stint with the Denver Broncos. Perhaps he would be willing to play under former Broncos head coach and defensive play-caller Vic Fangio. If so, the 14-year pro could bolster the Philadelphia Eagles’ outside linebacker group. The Eagles acquired edge-rusher Jonathan Greenard from the Minnesota Vikings, but they don’t have a reliable pass-rusher on the opposite side, though Jalyx Hunt showed signs of promise last season. As a first-rounder from the 2023 draft, Nolan Smith Jr. has been a disappointment, logging just 10.5 sacks. Miller can provide a much-needed pass-rushing boost and be a closer on the edge in Philadelphia.”
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton Urging Eagles to Sign Von Miller
The Eagles have younger pass-rushers with upside, such as Jalyx Hunt and former first-round pick Nolan Smith Jr. Both could benefit from watching how the three-time All-Pro pass-rusher operates on a day-to-day basis.
Miller, in addition to being able to help on the field, may be an invaluable addition to the locker room that pays long-term dividends for years to come. At this point in the offseason, he’s a low-risk signing that could pay off in a big way.
