Sunderland will face the likes of Leeds United, Liverpool and Wrexham during their preparations for the new Premier League season.
Sunderland are up and running ahead of a historic season after Regis Le Bris’ men claimed a comfortable win at League Two club York City in their opening pre-season friendly.
The Black Cats boss named the likes of Nordi Mukiele, Chris Rigg and Enzo Le Fee in his starting eleven at the LNER Community Stadium and it was the latter of that trio that stole the show as the French star scored two first-half goals. Chris Rigg and Timur Tutierov also found the net during a dominant display from their side that was rewarded with a four-goal lead at the break.

Le Bris made wholesale changes at half-time as a number of academy products were given a chance to shine and one of them, Tom Proctor, rounded off a satisfying start to pre-season when his goal ensured the Black Cats claimed a 5-1 win to kick off their preparations for the new season in some style.
Le Bris and his squad will now head to the United States for the next steps in their pre-season campaign as they face Liverpool, Leeds United and Wrexham over the next fortnight before the Black Cats boss returns to his home country when Sunderland face Ligue 1 club Lens on Saturday, August 9. A busy pre-season then comes to an end on home soil as Stade Rennais visit the Stadium of Light seven days later.
Sunderland have confirmed their pre-season fixtures will be broadcast live on SAFC.com and access to coverage of the remaining away and neutral venue fixtures can be purchased at a price of £30 for non-members and £20 for Black Cats members.
