Liverpool's preseason preparations are underway, and with the tour of America coming next week, it seems as though youngster Joshua Abe will be involved in the final roster traveling to the States.
The Reds are in action with three friendly games coming, with Sunderland, Wrexham, and Leeds United all waiting for Andoni Iraola and his team.
With the World Cup delaying the return of some key stars, there will be plenty of academy stars making their way to America to help bolster the options available to the manager.
Some will be able to make a lasting impression on the head coach and could fast-track their way into the senior team setup, which includes Abe.
The 16-year-old winger has impressed in the academy setup in recent months, proving his quality on the wing to be part of the under-18s team.
There was interest from the likes of Real Madrid in a potential deal for the youngster, but Liverpool has managed to hold onto him, and there is now a focus on developing him for the future.

With that in mind, journalist Jack Lusby reports that Abe has been booked in as part of the preseason tour, handing him an opportunity to impress the Liverpool hierarchy.
The roster announcement is expected on Monday, which will see the final list put together for those who will compete in America in the coming weeks.

Other academy players such as Kieran Morrison, Trey Nyoni, and Jayden Danns could also be involved in the announcement, which will give them an opportunity to impress.
The players not involved at the World Cup will feature, as first-team stars such as Dominik Szoboszlai, Jeremie Frimpong, and Jeremy Jacquet could all make appearances over the next few weeks.
As for the involvement of those who have been at the competition this summer, there is a wait to see exactly when they may be introduced once again.
There are some huge opportunities for the academy stars in the meantime, who could make their mark, and will be keen to introduce themselves to the fans and the manager.
