Montrealer Luguentz Dort traded to Atlanta Hawks
Dort won NBA championship with Oklahoma City Thunder last year, brought trophy to Montreal North

Shooting guard and Montrealer Luguentz Dort has been traded to the Atlanta Hawks as part of a three-way deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks, ESPN journalist Shams Charania reported Sunday.
Dort, who hails from Montreal North, is leaving Oklahoma City after seven years with the team, which won the NBA championship in 2025. Last August, Dort brought the championship trophy to a community event in Montreal North.
According to Charania, the three-team deal will also see Zaccharie Risacher traded from the Hawks to the Mavericks. Ryan Nembhard is traded from the Mavericks to the Hawks, and the Thunder will get three second-round picks.

Dort's career has seen him score an average 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He's in the last season of a five-year $82.5-million contract that will see him earn close to $18 million this year.
