Arsenal have made enquiries about RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Having lost out to Chelsea for Morgan Rogers, the Gunners have been scouring the market for potential alternatives, and speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that they have considered a move for Diomande:
“Arsenal, over the last few days, made some checks with the agents of Yan Diomande from Red Bull Leipzig to understand if there was still a chance to enter the deal. But don’t forget that Diomande has an agreement on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain and Paris Saint-Germain are in negotiations with Leipzig.”
“Arsenal made some calls to understand the situation of Diomande, just to give you context of what happened over the recent days.”
Supporters on X are sceptical that the Premier League champions can pull off such a move, not only due to the cost, but also because of PSG’s interest:

Diomande would cost a club record fee
Leipzig’s valuation is an eyewatering €130m (£110.5m), so he would actually be cheaper than Rogers, who will seal his £117m switch to Stamford Bridge next week.
Even so, Arsenal would still have to make Diomande their club record signing if they managed to persuade him to snub a move to PSG.
Are Arsenal looking at any other wingers?
Interestingly, even before the news broke on Saturday that Chelsea had won the race for Rogers, there were links to Diomande’s club teammate Antonio Nusa.
It was originally assumed that he was the London club’s alternative for Christos Tzolis, but it may well be the case that the Norwegian international is under consideration following the failure to land their top winger target.
Nusa would be a lot cheaper than either Rogers or Diomande, with it being suggested that Leipzig have slapped a €60m (£51m) asking price on the forward.
