**Victor Munoz has become Liverpool’s latest World Cup-winning player.**
Munoz completed his move worth £34.5 million to Anfield while this summer’s tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada was in full swing.
The Spain international was initially unavailable for his country after reporting for duty with an existing calf problem and later suffered a fresh muscle injury.
However Munoz later returned to La Roja’s match day squad as an unused substitute as they went through the World Cup’s latter stage to reach the final.
Luis de la Fuente’s side won Sunday’s final as the 22-year-old became a world champion at the expense of new Reds’ teammate Alexis Mac Allister.

He is the sixth player to win the World Cup while still at Liverpool. following in the footsteps of compatriots Pepe Reina and Fernando Torres in 2010.
England’s 1966 trio of Roger Hunt, Ian Callaghan and Gerry Byrne are the other distinguished players to hold the honour while representing the club.
