Liverpool saw all eight of their 2026 World Cup representatives reach the knockout stages, with one arriving as a winner and another returning as a runner-up.
The Reds had a total of eight representatives at this summer’s tournament, not accounting for those who left as free agents, a tally for which Liverpool received FIFA compensation payments.
Liverpool likely recouped up to £1 million for the involvement of Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz, and Alexander Isak.
Victor Munoz joined during the competition but battled with injury as Spain went on to finish as winners against Mac Allister and Argentina.

The Spaniard was an unused substitute in all eight matches, while Mac Allister ended his tournament having played the third-most minutes of any outfielder.
