Everton‘s George Morgan can return to AS Cannes this summer if David Moyes gives his approval.
The 19-year-old is a product of the Premier League side’s youth system and represented their U18 and U21s. However, he is yet to make his first team debut.
In January, Everton let him join the French club on a loan deal and he managed two goals in 420 minutes from 12 matches.
Fresh attempt for Everton man
The 19-year-old did enough for AS Cannes to move to sign him again this summer.
That’s according to Foot-National, who make it clear it’s their own information about the Everton young attacker.
Having secured promotion to Ligue 3, they want to sign George Morgan on a fresh loan.
Cannes want the Wales U19 international as their final signing of this window and wish to finalise a new agreement with the Toffees. There’s no mention of a formula and it’s likely to be a new loan.
David Moyes key for transfer
The Friedkin Group own both the Premier League side and the lower division French club.
This connection has helped AS Cannes develop a good relationship with Everton. They want to take advantage of this to bring George Morgan back to the club.
Although the youngster hasn’t made his first team debut, he is likely to train with them during pre-season.
David Moyes wants to take a closer look at the Welshman before making the final decision on whether to sanction a loan move.
Cannes are awaiting the frontman, and it seems like the Toffees manager’s approval is pending.
Moyes now has Beto and Thierno Barry as his two strikers. Recent claims from elsewhere have talked about Everton’s interest in Levante UD’s Karl Etta Eyong and Juventus’ Loïs Openda.
