Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Yan Diomande and his next potential club.
RB Leipzig remain firm in their stance that he will not be sold, but Liverpool’s rejected bid, PSG’s interest and the player’s own position of wanting to leave have combined to create a tense situation.

Liverpool have been among the most aggressive clubs in pursuit, submitting an initial offer of around €90 million with a further €10 million in add-ons, pushing the total package close to €100 million.
Leipzig rejected the proposal, maintaining internally that Diomande will stay and valuing him at well above €120 million.
PSG are believed to be the front-runners in this saga.
Now speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has reported that while PSG have an agreement with Yan Diomande – they are yet to find an agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer:
“Paris Saint-Germain has a verbal agreement with the player, but they still don’t have an agreement with RB Leipzig.”
“The negotiation is ongoing, the relationship is good between Leipzig and PSG.”
“They still need a financial agreement between parties for Yan Diomande to leave and join PSG.”
“It’s been three or four weeks since agreement on personal terms for PSG, but then you have to close the deal club-to-club.”
The Italian transfer guru adds that other clubs are calling on a daily basis to understand the situation:
“PSG remain the clear favourites, but there are more clubs calling on day-to-day basis to understand if they can enter the deal. Arsenal did this in recent days, there are more clubs calling to understand the situation of Yan Diomande.”
“It’s now on PSG to close this story after an agreement with the player, it’s going to be important weeks and days on this story.”
Reports in Germany assert that a deal exceeding €100 million remains on the table – but only under the condition that the player would have to return to Leipzig on loan for the 2026/27 campaign.
