Arsenal are on the verge of completing the signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. The Greece international is expected to fly into London on Tuesday to undergo his medical after a £34million agreement was reached between the two clubs.
Reports suggest the Gunners are hopeful of announcing the deal on Wednesday. Tzolis would become Arsenal’s second permanent signing of the summer following the arrival of goalkeeper Illan Meslier. The 24-year-old arrives with an impressive record of 51 goal involvements last season.
The move comes as Arsenal prepare to sell Leandro Trossard to Besiktas in a deal worth around £17million. Tzolis is viewed as a replacement and an upgrade in the wide attacking areas. His pace, creativity and goal threat are expected to give Mikel Arteta greater options in the final third.
