Entering the tournament with an injury, new Liverpool signing Victor Munoz didn't play a minute for his country at the World Cup. But he very much enjoyed the celebrations.
A goal from Ferran Torres in extra time was enough to secure the victory for Spain over an Argentina team, including Alexis Mac Allister, that had frustrated it for some time. Eventually, the ball was slammed past Emi Martinez, with Enzo Fernandez having been sent off by that point, leaving his side with only 10 men.
After the game, U.S. President Donald Trump was a part of the trophy presentation, leaving Munoz baffled. After that, the 22-year-old thrust himself into the celebrations with his teammates, friends and family.
On his Instagram story, Munoz, now back in Europe in Madrid, posted a series of photos with family and friends holding his gold medal and the match ball.
Then there were images from inside the locker room with Barcelona duo Pedri and Pau Cubarsi, who Munoz celebrated alongside.
Having been involved at the World Cup with no chance to go on holiday yet, Munoz will now take a break. It remains to be seen exactly when he will return to action for Liverpool ahead of the new season.

Speaking at the start of the month while away at the World Cup, Munoz revealed the conversation that he had with Andoni Iraola about joining Liverpool.
The winger had strong interest from Newcastle before the Reds nipped in and activated his release clause, committing to paying a fee of around $46 million (£35 million).
"(Iraola) called me and gave me confidence," Munoz told the Spanish outlet El Pais.
"He told me how his teams play, and that benefits me really well, especially the way they press relentlessly. I think it's the ideal environment for me to keep developing as a footballer.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.
"(He likes) my directness, the way I try to break the matches, the way I press and try to suffocate the opposition. Those are the qualities he looks for in a winger, and they were a big reason why he made the decision.
"(The Premier League is) a place where I've seen myself playing. I feel very comfortable when games become more open, something that doesn't happen very often in La Liga."

Liverpool.com says: Munoz looks like the right kind of player for the Reds: direct, pacy and with an eye for goal. He might take some time to adjust to life at Anfield, but the raw ingredients are there to be developed.
