Liverpool goalkeeper Armin Pecsi is poised to agree a season-long loan move to Austria

Liverpool goalkeeper Armin Pecsi is close to agreeing a season-long loan with Austrian side TSV Hartberg.
The 21-year-old has impressed the Reds since arriving from Hungarian side Puskas Akademia in a £1.3million deal last June, primarily featuring for the under-21s last season.
Pecsi also made the first-team bench five times and was close to making his debut against Crystal Palace at Anfield in April only for Freddie Woodman to recover from an injury during the match and be fit to continue.
The young shot-stepper has been a regular at various age groups for the Hungary national team and made his senior bow when coming off the bench for a friendly win over Kazakhstan last month.
Now Pecsi is poised to spend the season in Austria with Hartberg, who finished sixth in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.
Liverpool have previously had success with sending young goalkeepers on loan to Austria, with Vitezslav Jaros winning the league and cup double when spending the second half of the 2023/24 season at Sturm Graz.
It means Pecsi was not part of the Liverpool squad that flew out to Chicago on Monday to being their pre-season tour of the United States.
