The 2026 NFL Top 100 list continues to showcase some quality players, but we are reaching the point where key players are finding their ranking. Being a rising young player on a winning team is critical to being successful, and this player has done well in his first two seasons in the NFL. In a loaded AFC West division, he is carving a spot as one of the top players with a legitimate home-field advantage. Let’s take a deeper dive into who this player is and why they rank so high.
Bo Nix climbs five spots on the 2026 NFL Top 100

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been able to win games early on in his NFL career. He saw his rankings on the 2026 NFL Top 100 rise as he climbed five spots from last year to be 59th on this year’s list. NFL’s Jeremy Bergman has been writing the blurbs for the players announced this week, and wrote the following about Nix’s selection:
“No quarterback attempted more passes in 2025 than Nix, who led Denver to the AFC’s top seed and a second straight playoff berth in his second year in the pros. The gamer led the Broncos on a league-high seven game-winning drives last season and piloted them to a thrilling Divisional Round victory over Buffalo, throwing three TDs, including one in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, Nix injured his ankle setting up Denver’s game-winning field goal in overtime and missed the AFC title game. But before the setback, the former first-round pick did enough in his 18 games played to merit a second ranking within the top 65 in as many NFL seasons.”
Bo Nix had a strong season as he was able to lead the Denver Broncos to the AFC Championship Game and the top seed in the conference. He completed 388 of 612 (63.4%) of his passes for 3,931 yards with 25 passing touchdowns to 11 interceptions as well as 83 rushing attempts for 356 yards (4.3 yards per carry) with five rushing touchdowns. It will be intriguing to see if this ankle surgery he had will limit his ability to scramble, but the passing offense should improve with wide receiver Jaylen Waddle joining the team this offseason.

The 2026 NFL Top 100 is a list comprised of the top players in the league entering the season. This list is voted on by the players during the previous season to see where they rank their contemporaries. Each weekday, two players are revealed on X at 10 and 11 am ET. They will continue to do so until we reach the top 10 players, and will drop to one name each day until we have the entire 2026 NFL Top 100 list revealed on Friday, Sept. 4. It is interesting to see how the quarterbacks continue to rank on this list.
