Celtics announce preseason schedule, including two Jaylen Brown matchups

Saturday, Oct. 10.

Assuming he plays, that will be the date of Jaylen Brown’s first trip back to TD Garden as a Celtics opponent.

Boston on Monday announced its 2026 preseason schedule, which — as president of basketball operations Brad Stevens teased earlier this month — features two matchups with Brown’s Philadelphia 76ers.

The Celtics will open their exhibition slate in Cleveland on Thursday, Oct. 8 before hosting the Sixers two days later. They’ll then play a home game against the Charlotte Hornets on Oct. 14 before closing out the preseason at Philadelphia on Oct. 16.

Here are the full details for each game, all of which will be broadcast on NBC Sports Boston:

Thursday, Oct. 8 at Cleveland (7 p.m.)

Saturday, Oct. 10 vs. Philadelphia (8 p.m.)

Wednesday, Oct. 14 vs. Charlotte (7:30 p.m.)

Friday, Oct. 16 at Philadelphia (7 p.m.)

The Celtics, who traded Brown to Philly for Paul George and four draft picks, will face the 76ers another four times during the regular season, according to Stevens. The NBA has yet to release its full 2026-27 schedule.
