Returning Starters
Kicker Jake Elliott enters his 10th season of his storied career with the Eagles. The Illinois native is second all-time in career points for the Eagles (1,007), only behind David Akers (1,323). Elliott owns the record for most 50+ yard field goals (33) in team history. In Super Bowl LIX, he broke the record for most points in a Super Bowl by a kicker with 15, passing 1968 Don Chandler.
The 2023 second-team All-Pro ended 2025 with 100% accuracy on field goals on the 39-yard line or closer. On extra points, Elliott had a 97.6% success rate in 2025. The Memphis product did something he had never done in his career in 2025 – record a special teams tackle.
Punter Braden Mann enters his seventh season in the NFL, fourth with Philadelphia. 2025 saw the veteran average a career-high in yards per punt (49.9), with 20 landing inside the 20-yard line. Mann was rewarded with a new four-year contract extension this offseason.
Mann made an instant impact for the Eagles when he joined the team in 2023, establishing single-season franchise records in both gross and net punting average. The punter also has had success throwing the ball on trick plays, completing two out of three passes for 45 yards.
New to the Nest
After utilizing multiple long snappers in 2025, rookie Rocco Underwood will get the first chance to win the job this year.
Standing at 6-foot-3, 231-pounds, the former Florida Gator is now responsible for the snaps to veterans Jake Elliott and Braden Mann. Through his five seasons at Florida, Underwood was the primary long snapper for 50 games and earned the Mannelly Award in 2024, given to the nation's best college long snapper.
Underwood snapped for two future NFL specialists at Florida: punter Jeremy Crawshaw and kicker Trey Smack.
Bird Call
Special Teams Coordinator Michael Clay on Rocco Underwood: "I've been fortunate enough to coach Rick Lovato and being around Jon Dorenbos, two guys that have been stalwarts here in Philadelphia for so long. We're going to push Rocco to exceed those expectations, but we're going to take it day by day. Obviously, you don't want to pigeonhole anybody on this roster. We're just trying to get day by day greatness out of Rocco and elevate his game even more than it is."
