Browns fans expecting big things from Harold Fannin

While Browns fans might be pessimistic on the outlook of one player on offense this year, they are setting their sights sky high for another.

During last week’s Reacts question, I asked Browns fans how many receiving yards they expected second-year tight end Harold Fannin Jr. to have in 2026. 58% of fans voted for him having over 800 yards receiving, which would surpass the 731 yards receiving he had as a rookie. 42% of fans think he’ll remain in that range of 600-799 yards receiving, but no one thinks he’ll drop below 600 yards.

Are we over-estimating how good Fannin will be statistically? In David Njoku’s nine years with the team, only once did he surpass 800 receiving yards, and he only surpassed 600 receiving yards three times. With the Browns drafting wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, the wealth should be spread around a little more. It’s possible that Fannin has a very solid sophomore season, yet remains stuck around that 600+ yard mark.

The Browns are still heavy underdogs to make the postseason, at 66/1 compared to the other teams, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
