Liverpool have confirmed a 31-man squad for their pre-season tour of the United States, with several injured first-team players travelling to continue their rehabilitation.
The Reds flew to their base in Chicago on Monday ahead of friendlies against Sunderland, Wrexham and Leeds United.

Centre-backs Giovanni Leoni and Jeremy Jacquet, forward Hugo Ekitike, right-back Conor Bradley, midfielders Wataru Endo and Stefan Bajcetic, and goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros are all included despite recovering from injuries.
New head coach Andoni Iraola is keen to use the trip to strengthen team cohesion, while the injured players continue their rehabilitation alongside the squad.
Liverpool are without their eight World Cup participants for the start of the tour, although Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch are expected to join the squad before the clash with Championship side Wrexham.
Alisson Becker could return in time for the final game, while Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo are set for extended breaks. World Cup finalists Alexis Mac Allister and Victor Munoz are not expected back until next month.
The squad also includes several Academy prospects, with 16-year-old Josh Abe among the standout names after recently committing his future to the club.
Summer signing Ifeanyi Ndukwe, 18-year-old striker Will Wright and Academy forward Josh Sonni-Lambie are also on the tour.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Jayden Danns has not travelled after suffering a setback in his recovery from a long-term hamstring injury.
Head coach Andoni Iraola hinted at the issue while providing an update on his squad’s fitness. Danns had recently returned to outdoor training with the club’s Under-21s at the AXA Training Centre, raising hopes he was closing in on a full comeback.
“Probably the worst news when we arrived is that we have, I would say, five players injured,” the 44-year-old told LFCTV. “Even Danns, who couldn’t start with us because he got injured with the U21s.”
Jayden Danns has endured a frustrating spell with injuries, missing much of the 2025-26 season, including a loan spell at Sunderland.
He also missed Liverpool’s pre-season tour of Asia last summer after tearing his hamstring while playing for the Under-21s in September. A recurrence of the injury in March, during his first game back after six months, further delayed his return.
Having worked his way back to fitness ahead of pre-season, the latest setback is another blow for the academy graduate, who has not enjoyed a sustained run of matches since the 2024-25 campaign.
