Chiefs Expected To Announce Big News This Week
After a debacle on Dec. 14, the Kansas City Chiefs lost their chance at making the playoffs and advancing to the Super Bowl for the fourth consecutive season. In addition to the franchise’s home loss against a divsion opponenet, Patrick Mahomes also suffered a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee.

Many fans thought it could impact the start of 2026 season. However, he still hopes to start under center in Week 1, and the latest intel only confirms that
“There’s an expectation among Chiefs people that Mahomes will be fully cleared this week, and also the knowledge that when they tell him he can go, he will really go,” longtime NFL reporter Albert Breer wrote for Sports Illustrated.
“So the plan is to be smart with it, and make sure everyone is doing what’s going to put him in the best position to be at his best from September through February, not just ready for Week 1. ”
