Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman has been a major disappointment for this franchise over the last two seasons. Coleman was a second-round selection (33rd overall pick) in the 2024 NFL Draft from the Florida State Seminoles. He missed a few games last season.

Coleman caught 38 passes for 404 yards receiving and four touchdowns, along with averaging 10.6 yards per reception. He was targeted 59 times. The 23-year-old has a lot of growing up to do in a short period of time. If he does not grow up over training camp, it will be interesting to see what general manager Brandon Beane decides to do with him. Buffalo is under a lot of pressure to win a Super Bowl now with head coach Joe Brady and quarterback Josh Allen.

Tim Graham of the Athletic wrote about one Buffalo player on the roster who is under pressure to perform in 2026. One of the players who is under said pressure is Coleman. Graham said,
“Coleman conceded the fact this spring: ‘For me, it’s make it or break it. You’re s–––, you might not be here. Simple as that.’ Bills owner Terry Pegula put a bull’s-eye on the receiver’s back, asserting football boss Brandon Beane didn’t want to draft Coleman 33rd overall in 2024 (one spot ahead of Ladd McConkey, the Chargers’ leading receiver since he turned pro).
“The Bills have spent six months trying to patch up Pegula’s gaffe by pumping Coleman’s tires. But the harsh truth is that Coleman has a reputation to overcome. He has been disciplined multiple times for tardiness, was a healthy scratch four times last year and has averaged just 2.6 receptions for 36.9 yards with eight TDs in 26 career games.”
At the moment, he is projected to not be one of the starters on the Bills roster. D.J. Moore, Khalil Shakir, and Joshua Palmer are projected to be the starting wide receivers with Buffalo. Coleman, Skyler Bell, and Mecole Hardman Jr. are the second team wide receivers. If Coleman were to somehow not make the team out of training camp for the Bills, it will go down as a major drafting failure once again for Beane here.
