Stefan Bajcetic has not yet been cleared to resume full first-team training, although he has been included in Liverpool’s 31-man squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.

He has also been pictured training outdoors alongside Jeremy Jacquet, Harvey Elliott and James McConnell but is yet to rejoin full team sessions. Bajcetic continues to make a gradual recovery after undergoing hamstring surgery more than a year ago.
Providing an update on the Spaniard’s fitness, head coach Andoni Iraola told Liverpool’s official website: “Then we have Stefan [Bajcetic] that is doing slowly, slowly better but is still not ready to train with us.”
Despite his ongoing rehabilitation, Bajcetic will continue his recovery with the squad during the club’s pre-season tour in the United States.
Stefan Bajcetic and his wife, Evaluna Rodríguez, have announced the arrival of their beautiful twins, who were born last month.
The Liverpool midfielder and Evaluna shared the news on social media, with messages of congratulations pouring in for the couple.
Bajcetic married Evaluna last year in a ceremony where he wore a white blazer and shirt with black trousers and a black bow tie, while his wife looked elegant in a white dress with a long train.
After the wedding, the 21-year-old shared with followers: “Happy Anniversary to the love of my life. For what we live for and what awaits us. love you luna.”
The couple got engaged on Christmas Eve in December 2024. Bajcetic shared a video of the proposal at the time, showing him getting down on one knee and asking the question before Evaluna accepted.
Stefan Bajcetic is likely to miss Liverpool’s opening pre-season friendly against Sunderland in Nashville on Saturday, another setback for a player facing a crucial period in his career.
The midfielder has entered the final year of his contract, with head coach Andoni Iraola keen to assess him during pre-season before making a decision on his future. Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano, Getafe and Elche are reportedly interested in the Spaniard.
However, Bajcetic’s inability to return to full training has limited his chances to impress. It is now more than two years since his last senior appearance for Liverpool, a substitute outing against Tottenham at Anfield.
His career has been disrupted by injuries, although he showed glimpses of his potential during his loan spell at Las Palmas in 2025.
