**FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –** Arkansas redshirt junior tight end Jaden Platt was recognized by Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association as a nominee for the 2026 Good Works Team, the organizations announced Monday morning.
Platt was one of 162 student-athletes nominated for the honor, which recognizes college football student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, academics and athletics. Established in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the program honors players who use their platforms to strengthen communities and support causes important to them.
Platt has made a tremendous impact in the Fayetteville community and Northwest Arkansas since his arrival in the spring of 2025. He spearheaded a winter coat drive in December of 2025 that collected over 100 winter coats for youth at the Yolanda Richardson community center, in addition to speaking with kids at local elementary schools and visiting veterans at the local VA Hospital. He has also been an integral part of local back-to-school drives and Arkansas Athletics community service events during his time on The Hill.
Platt returns for his redshirt junior season after starting 11 games and appearing in all 12 games in 2025. The Haslet, Texas native recorded 21 receptions for a total of 296 yards and two touchdowns a year ago. Platt had a career-high 66-yard receiving performance on four receptions, highlighted by an eight-yard touchdown pass from KJ Jackson in the fourth quarter of the Hogs’ final road game of the 2025 season at Texas on Nov. 22. He also had three catches for 53 yards in a loss at Ole Miss on Sept. 13.
The 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September and include 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach. One student-athlete will also be selected as team captain and receive the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy.
A selection panel composed of former Good Works Team members, college football coaches, journalists and other leaders connected to the award reviews nominations from across the country. Voters evaluate candidates based on the breadth and depth of their community service, demonstrated leadership, academic achievement and the measurable impact they have had on the people and causes they serve. The panel then selects 11 NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision players (FBS), 11 players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), Divisions II, III and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) ranks, and one honorary head coach.
Arkansas opens the season inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium against North Alabama on Sept. 5 at 3:15 p.m. on SEC Network. Season and single-game tickets are on sale now.
