GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Former Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers offensive lineman Mark Tauscher will serve as grand marshal for the Badger Bash North parade on Saturday, Sept. 5, organizers announced.
Tauscher, a Marshfield native, walked on to the Badgers in 1995 and was drafted by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He was a member of the Super Bowl XLV championship team.
“I’m fired up for what is going to be a great weekend uniting some of my favorite things in the world, the Badgers, the Packers and the Green Bay community,” Tauscher said. “I’m honored and proud to be the grand marshal for Saturday’s parade and I can’t wait to see our city decked out in Badger Red.”
Pep rally set for 4:30 p.m.

Beginning at 4:30 p.m. on event day, the voice of the Badgers, Matt Lepay, will host a pep rally on the event stage featuring Badger football alumni.
The pep rally will look ahead to the upcoming football season and Sunday’s game against Notre Dame.
Free community event with full day of activities

Badger Bash North is a free community event. Activities will include a Family Football Combine with stations for the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, quarterback toss and more, along with face painting, balloon animals and a bounce house.
The UW Marching Band will parade over the Main Street Bridge. Live music will be provided by Fun with Atoms and FBI & The Untouchable Horns, and a fireworks show is planned over the Fox River.
Food trucks, beverage tents, licensed Badgers apparel and additional kids activities and games will also be available.
