As Aaron Rodgers prepares for his final NFL season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he has held bonding sessions in the past few weeks this summer. On Monday night, Rodgers posted three photos on social media – one with his mom Darla, one with his dad Ed, and one with his brother Luke – captioned: “Another bonding week.” Jordan was notably absent from the photos.
Rodgers has been estranged from his family for years. The 42-year-old quarterback admitted he had a strained relationship with them during his “Enigma” Netflix documentary in 2024. However, the falling-out had already been made public by his younger brother, Jordan, who shared it during his appearance on “The Bachelorette” in 2016.
“If you look at the saga with my family, for years it was one-sided,” Rodgers said back then. “They were making shots in the media saying bulls–t. I never said anything until it got to the point where I’m like, ‘All right, enough is enough.’”
“I grew up in a very white, dogmatic church, and that just didn’t really serve me,” he added. “It was very rigid in structure. I’m not a rigid person. Shame, guilt, judgment. It was like, ‘We have the truth. Our way or the highway. Our way is heaven; your way is hell.’”

Pittsburgh Steelers ripped for not being a ‘serious organization’ after bringing back Aaron Rodgers
The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed Aaron Rodgers this offseason after the 42-year-old decided to play one more season in the NFL, and not everyone is sold on the move, including The Athletic’s Vic Tafur.
“It’s not the sexiest storyline, but the Steelers are shooting for their 20th straight non-losing season, but this time without Mike Tomlin. Aaron Rodgers, 42, decided he wanted to come back, and the Steelers aren’t a serious organization, so they said sure. There is enough defensive talent here, and I really like the addition of Michael Pittman Jr., so congratulations to Pittsburgh. Nine wins and they’re irrelevant once again,” Tafur wrote.
Last season, Rodgers registered 3,322 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns, and seven interceptions. The one-time Super Bowl champion completed 65.7 percent of his passes.
The Steelers won the NFC North in 2025 but lost to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round of the playoffs. Rodgers hasn’t won a playoff game since the 2020 season, while Pittsburgh hasn’t done so since the 2016 campaign.
